Pop-Up Nomads (“Pop-Up Nomads,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an informal community project for nomads, travelers, and people drawn to life on the road. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit PopUpNomads.com, contact us, or submit a request to join the Pop-Up Nomads community.
Pop-Up Nomads is intended for adults age 18 and older.
Information You Provide to Us
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide through:
the contact form on PopUpNomads.com;
our Google Forms Request to Join questionnaire;
email communications with us; and
other information you choose to send directly to Pop-Up Nomads.
Depending on the form or communication, this may include your name, email address, social media or online handles, and information you choose to provide about yourself, your travel or camping circumstances, your interests, and your interest in the Pop-Up Nomads community.
We do not intentionally request financial account information, government identification numbers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information through the website or Request to Join questionnaire.
How We Use Information
We may use information you provide to:
respond to questions or messages;
review requests to join the Pop-Up Nomads Discord;
communicate with you about the community;
determine whether a Pop-Up, caravan, meetup, or other community opportunity may be appropriate;
administer and maintain the Pop-Up Nomads community;
maintain safety, community guidelines, and participation standards;
improve the website and community experience; and
comply with legal obligations or protect the rights and safety of Pop-Up Nomads, its organizers, hosts, community members, or others.
We do not use contact-form or Request to Join information to automatically place you on an email marketing list. Pop-Up Nomads does not currently operate an email newsletter.
Website Analytics and Technical Information
We use Framer to host and operate the website.
Framer provides built-in analytics that may provide aggregated information such as page views, traffic sources, countries, device types, browsers, and general website usage. Framer states that its built-in analytics do not use cookies or persistent identifiers.
We also use Google Analytics to better understand website traffic and usage. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and collect technical information about visits to the website, including device, browser, interaction, referral, and approximate location information. Google Analytics 4 uses cookies including _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and maintain session information.
We may also use Google Search Console, Google Ads measurement tools, and similar services to understand how visitors find and interact with the website.

Third-Party Forms and Services
Our Request to Join questionnaire is hosted through Google Forms. Information submitted through that form is therefore also processed using Google’s services and is subject to Google’s applicable privacy practices.
The website may also contain links to or embedded content from third-party services such as Discord, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram/Facebook, Spotify, Google, or other websites and platforms.
Those services operate independently from Pop-Up Nomads and may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not provide our community contact lists to advertisers or brands.
Information may be disclosed to service providers that help us operate the website or community, such as Framer and Google, or when reasonably necessary to:
operate the services you requested;
protect the safety or rights of Pop-Up Nomads, community members, hosts, or others;
investigate misuse or violations of community guidelines; or
comply with applicable law or valid legal requests.
Photos, Videos, and Community Content
Pop-Up Nomads may photograph or record camps, events, meetups, and other community activities.
Individual events may also have their own waivers, notices, community guidelines, or media expectations.
If you directly provide photos, videos, testimonials, or other material to Pop-Up Nomads for publication, we may use that material for community, website, social media, archival, or promotional purposes consistent with the permission you provided.
Content hosted directly on third-party services such as Discord is also subject to the rules and policies of those services.
Data Retention
We may retain contact messages, Request to Join responses, community records, and related communications for as long as reasonably useful for community administration, communications, safety, recordkeeping, or legal purposes.
You may request deletion of information you previously provided to us by contacting us at the email address below.
Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.
Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have directly provided to Pop-Up Nomads.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” or other privacy preference signals.
Pop-Up Nomads does not sell personal information and does not currently operate a system for selling or sharing community member information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because browser-based Do Not Track standards are not universally implemented, the website may not respond to all Do Not Track signals.
Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally recognized universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor such signals for processing subject to that requirement.
Children
Pop-Up Nomads and PopUpNomads.com are intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical practices to protect information in our possession. However, no website, email system, online form, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Pop-Up Nomads, the website, or the services we use evolve.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
