About This Event
The Hop-On / Hop-Off Oregon Caravan is a flexible group route built for people who want some company on the road without committing to an entire multi-week trip.
We’ll be traveling around Oregon before migrating south using a mix of favorite stops, familiar places, and private-land stays we’ve arranged with trusted landowners. The current route starts around Sisters, Oregon, then heads toward Tillamook, Bandon, the Northern California Redwoods, and eventually farther south toward Cottonwood, Arizona — with plenty of room for the route to evolve along the way.
The important part is that you do not need to do the entire caravan. Meet us at one stop. Travel with the group for a few days. Skip a section. Leave when your plans take you somewhere else. Catch back up later. Follow all of the progress and keep in touch through the discord.
That flexibility is the point.
The caravan is less about driving in a tight convoy and more about creating a moving network of van lifers and nomads we know personally. We can share camps, routes, recommendations, occasional meals, hikes, game nights, and the practical benefits of traveling near people we know while still maintaining the independence that makes life on the road appealing in the first place.
Hop on for the part that sounds good. Hop off when it doesn’t.
What’s Planned
Flexible shared travel through Oregon and south toward Northern California, with a mix of familiar stops, private-land stays, shared camps, occasional meals, hikes, game nights, and time traveling near people we know without moving as a tight convoy.
Joining This Event
How to Participate
The caravan is for Vetted Campers. Join the Pop-Up Nomads Discord, meet us in person at one of our events or another meetup along the way, and get a personal invite from us before joining the caravan. Once invited, you can hop on for any part of the route that fits your plans, travel with the group for a few days or longer, and hop off whenever you need to.
